Does this occur when trying to activate the LF Server? This message is normally received when outgoing port 443 is blocked and is not allowing communication to our Activation Server.

Please provide a screen print showing the message received and make sure it includes the installation Wizard so we can see at what point the message occurs.

That will be a problem, cause even the snap caption application i install does not work it keep popping STI.DLL missing.

Thank you for the screen print. As previously mentioned, this message is normally received when outgoing port 443 is blocked and is not allowing communication to our Activation Server. You can either ensure that outgoing port 443 is opened or you can do an offline activation. Information on an offline activation can be found here (the instructions would be the same for version 9 or 10 as well). A newer showhwfp utility can be found here.

It's not an offline installation in your screenshot because you specified an activation key. The installation has to go out to Laserfiche's activation server, validate the key and obtain a license.

What exactly are you doing when you see that this file is missing? If you are trying to run the showhwfp.exe utility you need to make sure the Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 runtime components are installed. Please refer to KB 1012618 under the Related Links section.

Hello,

This always occur when ever i want to install software and even when i find the named drivers, it will say another driver is missing. If one upgrade a windows to windows server 2012 is it possible to have missing dll or other drivers.

What always occurs? Are you still referring to the missing MSVCP110.dll file? Please provide details on exactly what is missing and what is being done when said message occurs. Also, it would be good to have the complete and exact text of any message you are receiving.

Okay, when i want to install laserfiche server on windows server 2012, i get winHTTP error, i got an advise to use the offline kit when i downloaded the offline kit and try to install it, i got a prompt saying mscvp.dll is missing.

I now carried out a research on mscvp.dll, when i download mscvp.dll and try to install it, it prompt STL.dll is missing and when i downloaded the STL.dll, i could not install it cause another driver is missing.

That's what am going through.

Thanks

The showhwfp.exe utility requires the Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 runtime components. Please refer to the Related Links section of KB 1012618 to download and install the necessary components then run showhwfp.exe to obtain the hardware fingerprint and Host ID information.
