Question

Web Access does not display an error that the maximum number of licenses limit has been reached

asked on May 13, 2014

For United/Team, I am finding that Web Access does not display an error that the maximum number of licenses limit has been reached. Users simply get the Log In page instead of being auto-logged in via Windows Authentication.

I confirmed this by having it happen to me. Then I opened the admin console and saw all of our licenses were in use. When I disconnected a user, I could get in.

Is this a known issue?

Is there a fix or other solution?

It makes troubleshooting very difficult.

Hey Kenny,

I looked into the issue, and I found that when all concurrent licenses are in use, WA will redirect to the login page and displays the message 'Invalid Session [9037]'. So it looks like Web Access is displaying an error, just not a very useful one.

We'll look into fixing this in a future release or hotfix. I'll update the thread when we have a firm timeline on when that will be.

Hey Kenny,

I can confirm that this issue has been fixed on the Laserfiche Server and has been included in the Laserfiche 9.1.1 Service Pack 1. For more details, see the release notes here (note that the fix is the last change listed under the Laserfiche Server section).
