Regarding self-hosted deployment, I have a couple of questions to ask. I have not deployed it before today
1. If a customer pays for self-hosted, does deployment have to be on a cloud server environment, or can it be done on a physical server?

2. Can deployment be done on a VMware or any virtual server?

There are no restrictions on physical hardware. You can use physical servers, VMWare or any other cloud-hosted virtual machines.
