Question

Repository Named User is gray

asked on June 1, 2018

When logged into my local computer and I am in the Laserfiche Administrator console 10.2 logged in as the Admin user the Repository Named User is grayed out in the user properties.  I use to be able to check this box, but no longer can.  I am an administrator on my computer.  If I log in with the administrator account on my computer I get the Repository Name User back.  I have talked to IT and they said permission on my account user have not changed.  The only thing that has changed is they moved our user accounts from roaming profiles to local accounts on the computers.  I have also tried to uninstall and reinstall Laserfiche completely but it doesn't change.  What permission or file would have got changed on my computer that would not allow me to use this box?

I found this article https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/85032/Repository-Named-User-property-disabled-from-some-machines#85081 and I had IT add my domain account to System Managers in the Laserfiche Administration console I now have the ability.

If I remember correctly, you need to be the system manager (windows security) in order to be able to add named user licenses. Maybe you are the system manager on one of the computers but not the other? Just to double check, do you have the Manage Trustee privilege (Laserfiche security)?
