Question

Import Agent

asked on June 29, 2017 Show version history

I am attempting to use Import Agent after creating a profile. I know that the UNC path is correct and that the folder I am attempting to monitor has the appropriate security for the Import Agent SVC account. When the profile runs it deletes the file from the monitored folder as I specified the app to do but it does not put it into the LF repository where I told it to go. It then puts the file in the error folder as directed when an error occurs.

After looking into the Windows Application Event Log it indicated that there was an error running the profile while importing the file from the Monitored folder location and that the operation completed successfully.

Any suggestions anyone???

Have you tried importing different file types to see if it is only affecting TIFF, PDF, etc.?

Also, are you using a local account or an AD account to run the service?

Yes. We need to import our files as .tif. I can get a pdf file to import but cannot import .tiff. On the Laserfiche Client under Tools-->Options there are choices to generate Laserfiche pages when importing. I have tried it with and without but still cannot import .tif images.

From within the Import Agent Configuration  on the General Tab I have set it to import all Files. I have also tried setting it to only use .tif and pdf. Still no ability to import .tif files.

David,

Check this post. The issue you described sounds the same (could import PDF, but not TIFF) and in their case it was an issue with the service account associated with the Import Agent.
