Question

Assign rolling 'n' days due date as metadata values

asked on February 9, 2017 Show version history

I have a template setup in a repository with a field called 'Due Date'. When a document is created and assigned this template, we want the 'Due Date' to automatically assign itself a metadata value based on the document type and the date. For documents "Type A", the due date has to be the 10th day of the month that is upcoming. If "Type B", then the 25th of the month upcoming... etc.

For this I began using workflow and the suggestions of other Laserfiche Answers but cannot quite get it to work. I first tried the Date Calculator activity,  I can somewhat select the token as part of the 'Assign Field Values'.

See attached draft workflow (Note: This is a brainstorm of activities mashed together - the logic won't work). Any advice would be appreciated as I am still new to Laserfiche.

Thanks!

Update: I added more pictures on creating the token - but the workflow is still not working correctly.

Did you ever get this to work?
Your date tokens from the date calculator should be fine and able to assign them to a due date field. ( unless your due date field is of a type that won't accept a date i.e. number,  I am assuming it's not )
Also assuming that your workflow is triggered and starts to run.
What type of conditions are you using in your conditional decision tree?
