Hi there.

We have MSXML 4.0 installed on our LaserFiche 8.1.1 server, running Windows Server 2008 R2.
Is there a dependency on this version of MSXML or can we upgrade to MSXML 6.0?
There are known vulnerabilities in MSXML 4.0, so we would like to move to 6.0.

 

Any assistance you can provide is appreciated.

The 8.1.1 Client uses MSXML 4, the server does not. MSXML 4 and 6 are not upgrades of each other, they can coexist, and, no, the 8.1.1 Client will not switch to using the newer version if installed. Version 8.2.1 and higher of Laserfiche use MSXML 6.
