Snapshot printer not popping up or asking to type in any information

Hi, 

I have a customer which is unable to use LF Snapshot on the one computer only. I have uninstalled lf client a few times, restarted and reinstalled. The snapshot keeps its print settings, but it is not responding once i print a file with snapshot. No window pops up, nothing on the task bar or nothing happens. The file also then doesnt print to laserfiche. Has anyone had this problem before?

Hi Gert,

 

I'm assuming you can print to physical printers with no issue from the same workstation? If not it could be an issue with the print spooler.

Hi Chris, 

 

I can print to any physical printer with no issue, just snapshot not working. It behaves as normal till you print

Hi Gert,

 

Ok that rules that one out. Couple more things to try.

 

1. Does this happen when printing from every application?

2. What happens when you log onto the affected workstation as a different windows user?

3. Can you try a different version of the Laserfiche Client?

Hi Chris, 

I have tried all of the above. My suspicion is that the pc actually requires some work. i can't install updates either so might have to do a fresh install of windows or run a repair on the pc.

Hi Gert,

 

Ah! I had this the other week on my own laptop oddly. The windows installer module was screwed. Ended up doing a complete wipe and start again. Super speedy now! wink

I am sure it will work, funny thin is these were wiped maybe not even 2 months ago!
