Hello,

 

as per the what' s new in Laserfiche 10.1


In Web Access 10.1, you can now open both PDFs and Microsoft Office documents directly in the document viewer, without needing to download and open them locally. With this feature, you can view these document types in the same way you would an imaged document. Metadata and other information about the document is immediately available right in the details pane of the document viewer.

 

Webaccess is not acting the same for Word as for PDf.

 

please check the attached video. any clarification?

Hi Dory,

I believe that is the updated response. Before it would just download it automatically and from there you would have to open it manually but now just like client it opens up the file in its native application which is really cool. 

If i am not wrong what you were expecting was for a word doc to be viewed in the web browser itself which is currently not possible as only Microsoft has right api's to do that using office online.

Laserfiche doesn't have the same functionality enabled for the demo as well.
