Laserfiche database migration from Oracle to SQL Server

asked on April 19, 2016

I have a client who has been running Laserfiche on Oracle database. It has decided to switch to SQL Server. All its applications have been migrated to SQL Server with the exception of Laserfiche. Export/Import briefcase is totally out of it as the client has tens of millions of pages of documents captured.

I used SSMA (SQL SERVER Migration Assistant,  provided by Microsoft)  for Oracle. We successfully migrated the database but Laserfiche was unable to use it.

We later did a fresh install of Laserfiche for SQL SERVER after which we copied across rows of data from the Oracle database tables to the SQL SERVER equivalent. We did this successfully. When we attempted to register the repository, Laserfiche reported that the database was invalid. We are on Laserfiche Rio version 10.

Can anyone guide us on how to migrate the database for it to be recognised by and useful to Laserfiche?

This previous reply should still be valid. Have you tested the method?
