How to upgrade from Laserfiche 9.1.1 to Laserfiche 10?

Hi all,

I have LF 9.1.1 installed on a server and we wish to upgrade to LF 10. Can I please have procedures to follow? Infact, I do not have a test environment where I can test an upgrade to LF 10.

What will be the risks associated in case the upgrade fails?

Hi Sheila,

 

Take a backup before you do anything. Upgrading is relatively simple. Download LF 10 and run the server setup.exe and click next>accept>next>finish. Couldn't be simpler. Nothing in SQL is changed so no need for concern there. Repository will require a re-index as part of the upgrade but again this is wizard based and very straight forward. In a nut shell, stick to the defaults provided as part of the setup and you can't go far wrong. yes

 

Worst case scenario, you have a backup. Just restore.
