Question

Laserfiche Forms ODBC Connection

asked on February 17, 2016

Hello maybe I am missing something in my configuratiob but I'm trying to configure my local Forms Database and keep getting this error:

'ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified'

Points to note:

- The SQL Server ODBC Driver is set up and the connection is successful when I try it from the ODBC Manager

- I am running the 64 bit version on my 64bit machine

- My DSN is set up under System and not User

Hi I am adding some screen shots. Is there any document besides webhelp which shows all the correct Windows settings that are necessary to get forms up and running?

Which versions of Forms and the Laserfiche Server are you running? Also, is Audit Trail on the same machine as SQL (and is it the same version)?

Hello Tracy I am running Forms 9 and will get back to you on the Server in a bit. This is actually just the test machine I am trying to set everything up on so I'm just running SQL Express on Windows 7.

Abena,

In your server name try using brackets [CALIBRASOLUTION\LASERFICHE2] and see if that helps. If not then try adding an additional backslash CALIBRASOLUTION\\LASERFICHE2.

There are multiple SQL Server drivers. See this other thread for more information on which one Forms uses.
