Retrieve Document Text from a MSG file

When using Import Agent to import MSG files, the LF client doesn't appear to have any "Pages" for the text.  This is despite having generate text for new docs turned on in the Admin Console and Client (V. 9.2.0).  The text is searchable through a text search... however this means we can't do a Retrieve Document Text and Pattern Match in Workflow on those imported MSG files.

How can we get that process to work so that the MSG text is available to the workflow without user intervention?

Hi Jessica,

 I confirmed that it is an issue. I have filed a bug and it should be addressed in next release.

Hi Jessica,

 

The released Import Agent 10 has included the fix. You can upgrade to version 10 and edit the profile and check the "Retrieve text" option under Processing tab.

Qinmei,

I followed the instructions above and I'm still not getting text from my msg files.  If I manually drag-n-drop the file from my desktop, the text is retrieve.  When I use import agent, no text is found.  This does not appear to be fixed in IA 10.  I am currently using IA 10.0.0.219.  Please confirm if there is another hotfix for this issue.
