import Agent Bug: Default Field Values

    When saving Import Agent settings (Version 9.0) and selecting a value other than the default value from a list field, the value stored in the registry under HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Laserfiche\Import Agent 8\Profiles\[ProfileName]\DocFields is the default value of the field, not the value selected in the interface. This causes the documents to import with the default value.  Obviously, this happens when the field efinition has a default value assigned.  Fields without a default value are OK.

Hi Bill,

The released Import Agent 10 has included the fix. Please upgrade to the latest version.

I confirmed that it is an issue that each time open to edit the profile and save, the field value will be reset to the default value even a different value was saved previously. It seems like an issue for all type of fields with default value set. Thanks for bringing it up. I'm going to file a bug for the dev team and it should be addressed in next release.

I cannot recreate the issue in our side, so I would suggest to open up a support ticket and provide detailed information. If possible, please provide a video to recreate the issue in your side. Thanks!

Hi Jie - We explored this further.  Turns out Import Agent will reset a field to the field's default value every time you edit the profile.  This is true even when a different value was saved previously.  I'd suggest looking at this behavior, to see if it is really what you want.  Thanks for the follow up.

We can also reproduce the issue with Snapshot. An SCR is filed for Snapshot. We'll let you know once it is fixed. Thanks again for bringing this up.
