Question

Public Portal Authentication

asked on January 29, 2016 Show version history

Hello,

We have a customer who has 25 user public portal license. They want to have 2 weblink instances which point to the same Laserfiche server, 1 on an external DMZ server for anonymous login for users (a read only user would be setup & access would be given to public documents accordingly) and the second on their internal network which would be with windows authentication for their internal users (read only access).

Would the Laserfiche server accept the 2 separate types of logins and limit them to 25 sessions?

Thank you,

Yes. Public Portal is licensed to a specific Laserfiche Server instance so the number of WebLink installs wouldn't be a concern. As long as the users logging in through WebLink are not named users and are read-only, then they will use the Public Portal licensing when connecting to a repository hosted on that Laserfiche Server.
