Dear Concerned,

 

I will explain some forms major features that we are looking to have them in v10 sp1.

 

  1. It is very important to have the possibility to attach a Laserfiche document into E-forms by browsing/searching the repository (The same as we do in outlook):

 

From the E-form, a user needs to be able to browse and search the repository to select and attach Laserfiche documents into the E-Form with the options to:

- Attach the document physically

- Attach the document as a link to webaccess or weblink.               

NB: Metadata fields of attached Laserfiche documents should be returned as tokens variables to the E-form, so that the user can use them to fill in the E-form fields.

 

  1. Documents that are generated or uploaded by an E-Form submission should be automatically attached as webaccess or weblink URL links in E-Form.

                                                                                                                           

I will take the example of the Contract Management Process you demonstrated in Empower 2016. When the contract is generated in Laserfiche repository by the new workflow activity (Generate Word Document) after the first submission, the generated document should be attached automatically as webaccess url link to the e-form.

 

PS: Users do not like to use Webaccess or Lf Client interface to make an approval. Approvals should be central to one dashboard interface which is the nice E-Form module that Laserfiche have. In this way, users will interact with one Dashboard interface to take actions.

 

The same should apply for attached documents from windows drives to the form (Form upload document).

 

  1. Possibility to scan directly a document from the form to LF repository and have point number 2 applied.

 

I know that Laserfiche vision is to have LF forms BPM, and LF Workflow servers unified, but the main target still a unique friendly user interface for BPM approvals (It already exist, it is the E-Form). Again, as per many implementation we did, I can say users do not like approvals from webaccess or LF client.

 

Another advantage point related to my requests, it is that the LF Forms attached documents will not be duplicated on forms and repository.

 

NB: Point number 1 and two should be available for retrieval users too.
