Protected Stamp to be applied as default in User level

Dear All,

 

Is it possible to setup users to add only Protected Stamps only?

Any Stamps added in the Document, by default, is public.

 

I just needed that to be Protected by default! Is there any Attributes can be set in the Laserfiche?

or can it be done in the Laserfiche Workflow SDK scripts?

Hey there, 

 

There's one new feature in Laserfiche 10 I'd like to point out that may be useful in addition to setting the annotation setting as default.

 

In 10, you can use 'settings lockdown' to prevent your users from altering certain settings. The 'private or protected' checkboxes for annotations are among these settings. This way, users wouldn't be able to change that settings themselves to apply public annotations or private annotations. 

 

You can set them up here by placing the lockdown attriubte with the user's or group's SID on the everyone group. Manually add the attribute as follows:

Name: [Lockdown]UsernameHere

SID=List of lockdown categories

 

where SID is the ID for the user, which can be retrieved in the columns for the user/groups listing in the admin console. 

 

For example, adding:

 

Name: [Lockdown]Jared

 

Data: S-1-9-1224... =AnnotationStyle

 

would lock down annotation style for the user Jared (but it can be applied at group level as well.
