Question

Active Directory Group Synchronization

asked on December 3, 2015 Show version history

Howdy All!

I've currently been granted the opportunity to support a per-existing Laserfiche setup (RIO 9.0, LM 8.3). I just setup AD Sync to handle licenses. However, I noticed the polling time is an hour and it appears that's the quickest it can be set up; at least within the MMC. Is there any way (supported or non-supported) methods to hasten the polling process?

Thanks!

If you look in the License Manager Admin Console, once you select the Active Directory Group Synchronization node, there is a Synchronize Now action for ad-hoc sync.

The automatic sync assumes that users are not going to be coming and going rapidly, so it's not polling the directory constantly. The Sync Now action is there for when you want to add a user immediately.

1 hour is the lowest value you can set for the sync frequency.

We have a bit of coming and go with auditors and what not. I found the 'sync now' action which was works for those moments folks can't wait. Appriciate the feedback.
