Got a question about the "automatically load the next task if the same person is assigned to it" feature.

How does this work for public forms? For instance, a job application that we want to break up into multiple parts. When the anonymous user clicks submit, we want Forms to load the next "page".

This feature is designed for authenticated users, not for public users.

That's a bummer. We have some extremely long forms filled out by public users (e.g. job application forms), and it would have been awesome if we could split them into pages and have each page stored on the server, and the subsequent pages (i.e. forms) dynamically determined. For instance, if on the initial form someone picks "Marketing" as the department they are applying to and then clicks "next page", we need to be able to save whatever they have entered so far and then route them to the Marketing job application form, which will be different from the Sales job application form.

Hopefully something along those lines will be possible soon.

Hi there,

the auto load next task feature is not served for form pagination. I will take your use case back to the product team.

Hmm, I asked earlier and you said yes, so I'm a bit confused now.

I mentioned they count as separated submissions (user tasks). So if you want to use it for authenticated users, it works.

Another question, this one about the Directory Server.

Now that Laserfiche Users and Forms Participants can be managed from one central location (Directory Server), how will various user attributes (e.g. email address) handled? For example, currently we need to assign a [Forms]Email attribute to each repository user account at the repository level, and Forms picks that up during synchronization. Will that be handled at the Directory Server level in version 10?

Also, Justin was asking for feedback regarding the cloud integrations to OneDrive etc. and asked if there are any others people use. We have a few customers that use Box. While Box has a RESTful API that we're able to leverage on the Workflow side, having a client-side integration would be a lot easier, not to mention more user-friendly. I can give a more detailed use case if needed.

The user's attributes will be managed in Directory Server as well. For email, you can configure it from user's profile in Directory Server, Forms will pick it up during synchronization.

And there are other attributes which you can customize from Directory Server in a similar way as you did in the repository.

Thank you, that's great to hear!

Hi Ege,

Note that Server/repository attributes are still going to be in the individual repositories. The main goal has been to push out items that really don't make sense (why are forms attributes in the repository?), but those are still going to be there as they are generally pretty repository specific. Just wanted to avoid any ambiguity here.

On the section starting with 18:45 of the video, Justin says "Forms now allows you to directly load the next task when it is assigned to the same person instead of having to wait for an email notification."

Does this mean we finally have the concept of "pages" natively supported? smiley

As in, breaking a large form into multiple parts, and have each part saved on the server before the next part is loaded.

Yes. They count as separate form submissions.

Just 1 question, does form 10 allow to work offline on a from on Mobile & later Sync back when online?

That means, a user can work when he doesn't have signal on a form saved on his device & can sync when comes back online.

Please say YES!

Hi there,

Currently it's not available in 10. But it's on the top of product to do list.

Thanks,

What does it mean in terms of time line?

Can we expect it with final release?

Hello,

Would it be possible to answer my question?

If you mean final release is the version 10, it won't be in version 10. If you mean future release in next year 2016, it has a good chance to be there.
