Rio Master License not correctly updating the right amount of Named User License

asked on October 13, 2015

We have a client who has purchased more Named User License.  They should have 83.  They deactivated and renewed their master license in Directory Server,  But the value only jumped 11 users.  This is correct as their last purchase was for 11 users.

But the original purchase was for 47 Users, Second purchase was 25.  72 in all.  Then the 11 Users.  To make it 83.

He had 45 users and the 11 bumped him up to 56 Named Users.

I had him try to deactivate and renew again just to make sure and it is still sitting at 56 Named Users.

I should also mention their LSAP expired for Rio System and a few other features.  Just mentioning in case that could cause communication issues.

Chase,

In looking at the Master License that was sent to the customer when they renewed, the xml shows

NamedUserLimit="83"

so it would seem that they should be using the correct license. Can you try manually activating their Rio System using ActivationTool.exe? Save a copy of the master license (i.e. to the Windows Desktop) and then open the .licx file in an xml reader to confirm the NamedUserLimit value. Once that's confirmed, try renewing the master license again in Laserfiche Directory Server, but use the option to "import master license file" and point to the new one that was saved to the Desktop.

That didn't resolve it.  Still reporting 56 users only.

Follow Brianna's suggestion from this thread and then try updating the master license again. If there's still an issue, then it may be best to open a support case so we can investigate further.
