Hello,

a quick question to avoid mistakes:

I have a Rio license and want to install DDC.

The installation packages says:

Install Distributed Computer Cluster 9.2 Preview

Is this the right installation, or am I missing something?

I don't want a Preview, but the licensed package, as I have Rio.

There is currently no 'full' version. The preview is included with Laserfiche Rio and Laserfiche Avante. The reason that it has been 'preview' is that the licensing may change in a future version, not that there are multiple versions or that thie one is incomplete.

Interesting explanation of the "Preview" status of the product. When I tried to use it several months ago and encountered numerous problems, my VAR told me that I should expect issues since it's just a Preview.

Is DCC fully supported the same as any other module in LF? Should I be reporting bugs?

Bug reports are always welcome, even minor ones and even for beta/preview releases. They help us understand how our products are used, if we missed anything in our testing procedures and what we can improve.

DCC is fully supported.

Hi,

If you open your install Package for Rio and click on Optional Components then you will see the LF Distributed Computing Clustering Preview. It will prompt for 2 types of installations, you have to install this service and then also install LF Web Admin Console where you will manage your Job etc for LF DCC. It says Preview, but it is actually the installation.

DCC is currently only available as a preview. You still need to be licensed for it. That's the one you want.

Justin, I understand from your post that Rio does not include a full license for DCC and you must buy it separately, right? Could you please explain the differences between Preview and full version?
