Setup Weblink Unlimited to access 1000 + users with Rio 100 Users

asked on August 24, 2015

How do i setup Weblink Unlimited for a Customer base of more than 1000 users to access  Weblink and the particular folder they are only allowed to access?

I have setup a Read Only user and then the set the named user as full, then it works. I have setup the same user and set the named user to retrieval/false and it doesnt work. How do you setup just the 1000+ users without having to use a named user license?

The manage trustee is not set, only read and browse.

Thanks

Gert

It doesn't matter whether you have 1000 users or 10, the answer is the same: https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/57296/public-portal-requiring-full-license

As Pava says in the selected answer:

Does the user trying to login fulfill the criteria Brianna listed above? They need to be marked as Read Only or in a group marked as Read Only. They can neither have nor inherit the Manage Trustee privilege, as that automatically bypasses Read Only.

The login must be made into a Laserfiche Server setup as a public portal instance, connections to other Laserfiche Servers will not work. In an unlimited instance, you need to confirm that the public portal processor allotment is equal to or greater then the number of processors on the Laserfiche Server machine.

If all of this appears to be the case, I'd suggest contacting Support.

1) Note that giving the user the "Read" rights to the repository isn't the same as marking them as "read-only".

2) Make sure your Laserfiche Server has been allocated the correct public portal license, as the public portal licensing is per Laserfiche Server, not per WebLink instance.

If you are certain these things are configured correctly, then you may wish to open a support case.

Thanks Brianna for your answer, i might have not licensed it properly that is why it is not working as it should.
