How to compress the Stored tiff files in the repository

Dear All,

 

Please let me how to compress the stored tiff file in the repository. we are facing  a critical issue that storage getting full due to uncompressed tiff image.

 

Please advise, Thanks in Advance.

You should be able to use this utility:

It looks like they updated it to run on versions later than 8.2 now. That's good.

The Images are converted to tiff-jpeg using this converter. 2TB data now reduced to 1TB.

Aside from custom scripting or third party tools then PhotoDocs may be able to help you. We've used this in the past when clients have decided to scan documents in colour which caused rapid growth of the storage requirements but not sure it will compress TIFF images for you.
