Question

Someone deleted the Laserfiche.Workflow.Common assembly. How do I replace all assemblies?

asked on July 16, 2015

I can't seem to find a repair option in Programs or using the Laserrfiche installer. I can't find this file on my computer to replace it. I can't uninstall because it needs the assembly. I can't re-install because it thinks it is successfuly installed.

You can repair the installation to get back the missing files by clicking Change on the LF Workflow entry in Programs and Features. It detects WF is already installed and gives you these options on the next step:

Here is what I get when I select change.

I thought you said it thinks it's successfully installed...That usually happens when Workflow has been partially uninstalled (for ex, the main Workflow installation is gone but you still have the language packs) or when the folder you're running the installation from does not contain all files it needs.

When I try to run a new install from the install files it says that it is already successfully installed. All I know at the moment is that an assembly is missing but I don't know which DLL or where it should be located. The error is not descriptive enough.

What is listed for Laserfiche Workflow under Programs and Features in Control Panel?

Just Laserfiche Workflow

I finally got it working again. I had to use the workflow 9.2.1 installer instead of the 9.2 installer and it works with a 9.2 engine. Not sure if that is preferable but it was the only thing that worked.

Sounds like you already had 9.2.1 installed. The version column would indicate the minor version too.
