Known issue

There are built-in image size limitations specific to PhotoDocs. These limits are not applicable to other Laserfiche products.

The ability to process images in PhotoDocs may be further limited depending on the amount of RAM on the workstation, among other factors.

Workaround 1

If you encounter processing errors in PhotoDocs when you select multiple images (pages) for batch processing, you may be able to avoid some errors by selecting and processing a single page at a time.

If these errors occur sporadically, you may be able to avoid some errors by closing and then reopening PhotoDocs.

Workaround 2

You can convert images into black-and-white if you have Quick Fields or Snapshot.

Quick Fields:

• Import the image into Laserfiche as-is.
• Inside Quick Fields, set up a Laserfiche Capture session, which allows you to reprocess images already in Laserfiche.

Snapshot:

• Open the image using any third-party tool that is capable of printing the image.
• Print to Laserfiche Snapshot. In the Snapshot dialog, configure Snapshot to save the image as black-and-white.
