Question

Is there page length limit to Photodocs?

asked on March 12, 2015

We have an EKG sheet that is approximately 5 inches tall and 4 foot (yes 48 inches) long.  When the document is reprocessed with photodocs, that image is dropped out of the document.  I tried making it its own document and bring into photodocs on multiple computers.  Even different versions of Laserfiche (8.3 vs 9.2).  The image will not come into photodocs.  I've looked all over the place for settings that may affect it.  All image processing is turned off.  It will not load.  Any ideas?

Thanks,

Frankie

To follow-up, PhotoDocs has a limit of 16384 x 16384 pixels per image. We are looking to increase the limit in a future release.

I am having this problem with some size D and E plans.  All of our Code department's documents are a mixture of permits (8.5" x 11") and plans (sizes D & E).  The plan images get dropped by PhotoDocs, and if you don't notice this, you will permanently lose those page images!  We have a LOT of images that need to be reprocessed with PhotoDocs; the original paper is long gone.  I have no way of knowing if we have already accidentally lost pages, due to this PhotoDocs issue.  Please help.  Even if the PhotoDocs cannot process certain pages, it should at least not drop them, or at the very minimum display a BIG warning when you open a document that is dropping pages.

Hi Crystal,

While we don't have plans to enhance photodocs on our roadmap, I understand this is a very concerning issue. I would recommend you raise this issue with your solution provider so we can record the issue through regular tech support channels.

Hello Tessa,

I am the Support Supervisor for the Solution Provider that Crystal is associated with. Are you requesting that I open a support case with Laserfiche?

Please open a support case and provide a copy of the document so we may investigate the matter.

Hello,

Is this feature something Laserfiche is still looking into?

Hi,

Unfortunately, there are no immediate plans to enhance this functionality in our roadmap.
