Question

Laserfiche Mobile 9.2 configuration

asked on June 22, 2015

Hello,

We installed LF Mobile this weekend and are working internally great. I wanted to test the application internally for a short while before I had to configure the external dmz server.  The question I have is once the server is in the DMZ how can it talk back to my repository?  I under stand that we need or I think we need a public certificate. The instructions don't actually tell you how everything talks back and forth and it doesn't clearly state that a server needs to be in a dmz. Maybe I over looked a page in the instruction set.

Any help on direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ed.

Your mobile server and LF server should both run in the internal, and app connect via DMZ when running outside the company network. This concept was introduced at our last Empower Conference. Please refer to this PowerPoint, page 46, for a chart and more information.

HI, Ed

Yes, your mobile server should be in the DMZ, and LF server should run in the internal as introduced at our last Empower Conference. Please refer to this PowerPoint, page 46, for a chart and more information.

And for the Mobile server talking to LFS, you probably need your IT's help to create a rule or allow a secure port on the firewall between DMZ and internal. And the actual step probably depends on the actual software you use.
