I need to send an attachment to the initiator after they submit a form. What is the best/easiest way to do this? I'm not seeing the option in the process modeler, but I could be just missing it. Thanks!

How to Send a file to the initiator after they submit the initial form?

You can send the form they've filled out via email notification, or give them the option to download the form in the 'Thank You Message' tab on the 'Start' section of the process modeler. There's also an option to redirect the recipient to a URL. (FTP could work well there)
The 'Save as Draft' feature on the 'Start' process has come in handy for me in the past as well.
This is all assuming you want the form as the attachment. If you need an attachment to the form sent in an email, you should be able to build a workflow to send an email notification with the attached document from the form after it has hit it's initial folder in the repository.
It wouldn't be the form that we send them. The form they're filling out is to request a Family Medical Leave. The form they fill out is the request. What we'd like to send them is a pdf (if possible) that gives them information about an FMLA with legal info, dates, restrictions etc.
I guess a link would be nice, but it would be much better if at some point they have the pdf sent to them.
You will need to push your process into workflow. From there you can fill out a PDF, attach other static PDFs and then attach it to email and send it back to them.
Manually? For the hundreds of forms submitted? That's just not really an option....
I guess I should have been more clear. If you want the PDF forms to be emailed, you will need to make a service task in the forms piece that activates a Laserfiche Workflow. Once setup it will all be done automatically. The workflow piece for this would be extremely simple with only a few steps.
Awesome! Thank you, I 'm really glad this can be done! Do you have a link to a step by step tutorial or something like that? I'm still pretty new to LF.
I agree that the feature should be added, the best option for now is to initiate a Workflow after the form is already saved. I just created one for one of my application forms, details are in this post: https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/82487/Sending-PDF-document-saved-by-form-in-the-repository-as-email-attachment
It would be a great feature to have the option of saving/manipulating pdf's and other attachments from the Forms side. I don't think this capability is available yet. I may make a feature request for this. I would try a simple notification workflow to send it to the initiator for now.
I have already made the feature request for that ability in Forms here. It doesn't include the feature of adding documents other than the current form, but I would recommend adding a comment about that.
