Hi Dory,

The above links predate Laserfiche Connector and involve pre-existing 3rd party integrations. I expect that Connector will be fine with SAP, but I don't have a specific confirmation one way or the other. If someone has been able to run it with the test utility, please let us know!

Hi Dory,

Laserfiche Connector does work with SAP ERP and there have been integrations done! Our Professional Services Group has deployed a few, and there are resellers that have done the same.

I also saw you had a previous post regarding pushing metadata fields into a SAP DB. From what I gather that is possible but would require some scripting. If you're looking to deploy an SAP integration, you can speak with your regional manager for more information about the options available to you.

Here are a few other helpful Answers posts that provide additional information. In the first two links there are 3rd party connectors for Laserfiche/SAP that are mentioned which may be relevant to your situation:

https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/71996/Integrating-SAP-With-Laserfiche

Hope that helps!

Hi Dory,
There are currently no confirmed integrations of Laserfiche Connector to SAP although it is possible. There are resellers who have provided integration services between Laserfiche and SAP with 3rd party integrations, but not Connector itself. Since we do not have confirmed integrations with Connector and SAP it is not on the confirmed application list and I am unable to provide any specific prerequisites that it would require. The first link below provides some relevant information on Connector/SAP and the last two have suggestions on 3rd party integrations:

Hi,

Thank you keven for the confirmation about Laserfiche connector which is my main concern.

Technically, is there any specific prerequisites that should be provided from sap side?

Why Laserfiche did not list SAP ERP as confirmed application in the list of applications that are tested with Laserfiche connector.

Thanks

dory

Hi Justin,

I've tried both the full Laserfiche Connector and the Test Utility and am able to grab information off the SAP logon pad but not the detailed screen which is fired up in a new window.

When I drag the cross hairs over the window the red outline never appears. Tried all three controls.

Any ideas?  No log file is created as no window is ever discovered.

Hi Carl,

My current understanding is that Connector requires an SAP accessibility plugin to work, that is available through the SAP support center. That enables tools that allow screenreaders to read the active controls, which is also what Connector uses.

If for some reason that doesn't work, you can also use OCR with regular expressions as of Connector 9.1.

We tried typing in the window name and using regular expressions but weren't able to click Next to select controls.  Should the Next button become an option if we hit the right expression?

Looking into the SAP accessibility plugin, thanks for the info!

Where did you try typing in the regular expression? You'll still need to select the external app in question with the crosshairs in the first pane before you'll be able to hit next. The regular expression would then be used on the screentext token in the (new in 9.1) token/expression dialog (which is accessible from the token picker in screens such as where you define the search query).

We had Connector grab the SAP Login Pad, and then tried to change the window title to match the second detailed screen but weren't able to detect elements on the next screen where tokens are created as it still wasn't detecting the window.  **Note the process name and class are not accurate as I selected a different application for demonstration since I do not have SAP on my machine ;).

We're exploring the accessibility plugins and fairly confident your suggestion will work. Will post back when we get it working.

Please could you give us some information abiut the accessibility plug-in? Is it something that needs to be installed on each sap user machine or is it a server side module? Also, is it something that needs to be purchased by sap customers?
