Laserfiche snapshot issue

asked on May 21, 2015

i have an ongoing problem with snapshot.  some users are experiencing issues with using snapshot when printing from a downloaded pdf from the web.  if a user sends the document via email, pdf, and the document was a scanned document but saved as pdf, laserfiche snapshot works fine.  if user downloads a document from our finance software, as a pdf, snapshot takes 5-10 minutes to appear to assign template to document and save into repository.  any ideas what can cause this issue?  i have tried clearing attributes on the server side, i have tried deleting profile from the registry, and i have tried removing user's profile from computer and still having the same issue.

Hi Armando,

So Snapshot works fine with other PDFs, but the process is slow only for the PDFs downloaded from a 3rd party web application that you're using? What version of Snapshot are you using?

If the PDFs do not contain any sensitive data, can you attach a copy of one here? Or perhaps you can provide a sample PDF with fictitious data that the issue can still be recreated with? Also, if you prefer, you can open a support case with your Laserfiche reseller.

Regards

Armando,

What if you were to set a default template, via Snapshot Configuration?

We realized that the issue was with documents that were forms that could be updated and filled out.  When we chose to "PRINT AS IMAGE" the PDFs would print to Laserfiche just fine.  Hope this helps.

We are having a very similar issue.  It's only happening to users who recently updated to Windows 10.  Were you able to resolve your issue?  How?  smiley
