It is forced tenert active directory to the directory server??

Yes, you do need to have an active directory set up to use Laserfiche Directory Service.

If you do not want to have Windows users, it is possible to use Directory Server for managing your application licenses and only use Laserfiche Repository Named Users in your servers, meaning that you would allocated your named user licenses to your individual servers and add Laserfiche Repository users to each repository.

However, if you do want allow Windows accounts to log on to Laserfiche (the recommded method), you will need to set up users in Directory server from Active Directory. Note that Directory Server does also support adding Novell eDirectory users.

I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're asking. Can you give more details? What is "tenert active directory"?

  It is necessary to have an active directory server for Laserfiche Directory
