Recently updated to Weblink version 9. Users that have rights to see through redaction cannot do so via Weblink. The users are able to see through redaction in WebAccess and the local client application. We attempted to add the db value of 'AlwaysRedactForWebLink' and set to '0' and restarted the Services from this posting, https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/76004/web-access--see-through-redactions-access-rights-not-working-properly
Any suggestions to what else we should be looking for? Was there a setting overlooked?
Question
Question
WebLink version 9 unable to disable redaction for allowed users
Answer
Since we upgraded / migrated from LF7 to LF9, the migration tool has an issue.
The fix for this is the following KB, this also fixes a blurry or pixelated document when it is annotated / redacted.

Make sure you have enabled the 'See Through Redactions' setting in the Web Admin console.
I am unable to access the WebAdmin Console because we are not running versions that support it.
Updating the dboptions table in the repository database and setting 'AlwaysRedactForWebLink' to '0' or '1' has the same effect as toggling the option in the Web Administration Console.
If you have set that dboption to 0 and have restarted the Laserfiche Server service, but when you open WebLink 9 in a new browser, log in as a user who is supposed to be able to see through the redaction, but cannot, then we'll need to further investigate the matter.
At that point, it'd be best to contact your Laserfiche reseller to open a support case.
The dboptions table value 'AlwaysRedactForWebLink' was created and set as previously noted.
We will contact the reseller.
Can you also confirm that you're making the change in the correct database? It seems that your organization had some recent support cases relating to Laserfiche 9 in a test environment.
On the off chance that you may have set up a test repository/database to use along side a production repository/database, please double check that the changes are being made to the database that your repository is currently using.
Yes, the test environment is part of a different network and the test server has been turned off.
