Question

scanning double

asked on March 9, 2015

LF 8.3, using scanconnect

When we scan in color it says "image to small to be valid"

When we scan in black and white it makes duplicate of every page

There is no setscan.ini file in scanconnects x86 folder

Hey, sorry to bump an old thread but would you mind elaborating on what you did to fix this RPC issue. We are at a loss on how to address this problem. Please and thank you.

Hi Ben,

  • Does this happen on one or all of the scan PC's (or is there only 1)?
  • Does this happen if you move the scanner to a different PC?
  • Does this happen for all LF and windows users on the scan PC?
  • Can you scan into another application correctly?

The error you are seeing sounds to me more like a scanner driver error rather than a Laserfiche scanning or scanconnect error. Go through the points above and hopefully that will give us a big clue as to where the problem lies.

Hope this helps!yes

Based on previous support cases we've had, this issue is usually associated with a specific user account.  You can try deleting the client profile for the problem user.  Look at this thread for specifics: https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/64818/Scanning-is-requiring-credentials-but-not-accepting-them

Client may have been confused about server version, no big deal. Know more tomorrow

It was actually an issue with the PC. Not LF user, not windows user. They have a brand new canon isis driver brand new build of 8.3 and service pack. Only thing I can think of would be reinstall with UAC and AV off. The client didnt want to troubleshoot anymore and will use Twain. Thanks for ideas.

If it is an issue with the PC, the other option would be to reinstall the OS or use another machine.
