Question

Quick Fields Agent was not found in the license. [0106-QF1]

asked on March 2, 2015

When running a session from Quick Fields Agent it aborts and displays the error message:

Quick Fields Agent was not found in the license. [0106-QF1]

We recently upgraded the license server to LFDS and I do not see it in the application list. I thought QFA was tied to the QF license?

We are using Rio 9.2 and LFDS.

No problem, Carl. This issue should be addressed now. Update the master license in your Rio System and confirm that the Quick Fields application now includes the "Quick Fields Agent" feature. Then you can generate a new Quick Fields license to use on the computer where Quick Fields is installed.

It is tied to Quick Fields. In the License Management console you may need to regenerate the license for Quick Fields

We'll update this thread when the issue with your license file is addressed.

I removed the registered Quick Fields instance from LFDS, renewed the master license, and then added it back.

For curiosity, I ran QF Agent and received the error:

The license could not be validated. The application is not registered. [0104-QF0]

I then finished regenerating the license file and confirmed it had a new application GUID.

I renamed the .licx file in C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\Quick Fields\Licenses to lf.licx.old, moved the freshly registered Quick Fields instance in LFDS, and added it to the same directory as lf.licx.

I restarted the Quick Fields Agent services and the LFDS services and still receive the original error posted above. "Quick Fields Agent was not found in the license. [0106-QF1].

I went into the Application Instance and verified the Fingerprint was current by using the Look Up feature and supplying account credentials to connect to the machine.

Workflow is also installed on the same server but is using a Host ID instead of a fingerprint. I assume this is normal.

This is an issue with your Rio master license that we are looking into. We will update the thread once the matter is resolved. At that time, you will need to update your Rio master license and then generate a new Quick Fields license.

Oh ok. My apologies I misinterpreted your response above to mean for me to update the thread after regenerating.

Hi, Alex

I have a client with multiple instances of QuickFields licensing. How can I tell which instance id to add the QuickFields Agent to on the Support Site? I see the QuickFields serial number in LFDS and it has a number appended to it. In the screen shot the client sent to me the number appended is 3. Would this be the instance id that corresponds with the licensing information on the support site?

Thank you,

Rob

Hi Rob,

Yes, they should be related.

Hi, Alex

Thank you for the quick response!

I assigned the QF Agent bundle to their QuickFields instance id 3 yesterday after your response and then after the client renewed their master license the problematic QF instance started working again.

Thank you!

Rob
