Hello, my client is currently on 9.1.0 server and 8.3.1 license manager. I want to upgrade them to 9.2 this weekend and was wondering if you could me any advice. Does it matter if I upgrade the server or the license manager first? Just want to make sure there doesn't need to be an order to this. Any other tips in upgrading to 9.2 that I should be aware of? Thanks in advance...

I have a similar question in the light that I have a test environment. We are running 9.1 at the moment. Can I upgrade the LM and the test environment without impacting the licensing of the Live environment?? I as this as I was told you also need new Lic files for all the servers.
http://www.laserfiche.com/support/webhelp/Laserfiche/9.2/en-US/AdminGuide/LFAdmin.htm#Update_Overview.htm%3FTocPath%3DLaserfiche%2520Administration%2520Guide%7C_____8 this has a page on upgrading from 8.x etc to 9.2 and no mention of needing new lic files.
I really wish there were a better and more thorough instructions (in one place) when it comes to upgrading.
You don't need to upgrade the LM itself. The server installation will in fact allow you to request the license update directly from it during the upgrade process. As Tommy notes, this will update the Rio license to know that 9.2 is available. You can also just renew the Rio master license at any point - it doesn't need to be tied to when you do the upgrade.
Would this be the sort of all-in-one white paper resource on upgrading you are looking for: https://support.laserfiche.com/GetFileRepositoryEntry.aspx?id=3063&mode=download?
You guys need to update/renew your RIO licensing to support version 9.2, and then re-register the server instance for version 9.2 license file.
