Question

Convert Scanned Document To PDF (via WebLink)

asked on December 1, 2014

When a user tries to "Print (as PDF)" from within the WebLink (vs. 8.2.2) interface, they get a popup window with the following message, "The file exists".  When the user clicks on the OK button of this window, the message goes away the WebLink page displays as normal.

The above is true for IE, and Firefox on both Windows 8, and Windows 7 PC's (64bit).

I've attached a screenshot of the message and WebLink window for reference.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Please delete or clear up the contents of the windows temp folder
(C:\windows\temp and %TEMP% folders), then restart IIS and test it again.

Hello Raymond:

Thank you for the quick response.

In regards to the folders referenced in your message, are you referring to the users local computer, or the server on which Laserfiche / WebLink is installed?

Thank you,

Same question as on the other thread: Is this issue occurring on multiple machines, or only one machine? Additionally, is this happening for all documents or just one specific document?

I went to the Weblink mentioned and was able to download several scanned documents as PDFs with no issue, so it seems like the issue is either with a specific document or with a specific machine. Try clearing the temp folder on the machine where the user is unable to print to PDF.

So, between our Laserfiche reseller, and Raymond (above) the issues has been resolved.

On the Laserfiche server:

1- delete files/folder in c:/windows/temp/

2- delete all temp files/folders %temp%

3- reset the IIS via the DOS prompt:  iisreset

Thank you for your help!

Sincerely,

Jason W.
