Question

Import Agent - Windows file date

asked on November 26, 2014

Hey,

We're fairly new to the Laserfiche world but it's been going fairly well.  One question that has come up is whether or not Import Agent has the ability to take the windows file date of a file that comes in through import agent (through a monitored network share) and insert that into a field in our template.

I can't seem to figure out how to do it, I can get it to put in todays date but that isn't really helpful for us.  We are on 8.1 currently.

Any suggestions?  Thanks!

Hi Shaun,

Laserfiche Client 9.2 introduced a new set of tokens to handle this type of data (they are the Import File tokens mentioned on the help page), however, Import Agent doesn't support those tokens yet. We'll file an enhancement request for this.

An alternative would be to use Quick Fields. You can refer to this post for more information.

Hi Shaun,

The released Import Agent 10 has supported the file related tokens. All supported tokens refers to here.

Thanks,
