LDAP for Participant License set to DC only for Distinguished Name

asked on November 21, 2014 Show version history

We are trying to setup an LDAP sync for Participant Licenses in Forms.  I am able to point the LDAP setup to an OU (e.g. OU=TestOU,DC=test1,DC=org) but I am unable to have it point to all of AD (e.g. DC=test1,DC=org). The reason I need to do this is that the users I need to assign licenses to are in the People OU and the groups I need to assign permissions to are in the Laserfiche OU.  Thus I can point it to one to handle my licenses or to the other to handle my permissions but I can't point it at both.

Should I be able to point the LDAP configuration to the top level for AD or does it require an OU?  I think I already know the answer to this, can I setup the LDAP configuration to look at multiple OU's?

The released version of Forms only support one OU currently. Multiple OU's will be supported in the future version. Can you put the groups and users inside one OU as a workaround for now?

Unfortunately not as this organization has strict division within their AD environment.  They keep people, computers, service accounts, and groups all isolated.
