Question

Forms 9 to 9.2 Error

asked on November 5, 2014

"The Forms database is from a previous version and must be updated. To resolve this issue, please contact your Laserfiche Forms administrator to perform an upgrade"

I cannot access the forms config also. It asks for user/password and wont accept anything that it should...Running on Windows 2008, so I don't think its the FIPS issue I read in the documentation.

It seems I got it working. There happened to be a re-direct in place on IIS. I also had to remove require https.

Thank you Alexander

On the web server where Forms is installed, check in IIS and confirm that the authentication settings for the FormsConfig web application only has "Windows Authentication" enabled. Then see if you can access the page by going to something like http://localhost/formsconfig

The database will get upgraded upon visiting the FormsConfig page.

I have verified that. And once I attempt to go to the config page, I 'm prompted for a username and password, which it will not accept any admin credentials ,Then a 401.1 - Unauthorized page.  I've made sure the admin group is on that folder also, even though it shoudn't have changed.

EDIT: If I use basic authentication and make it through... It still says laserfiche forms has encontered a problem....

Is Forms just installed under the default web site in IIS or do you have it installed under a different web site?

It's installed under its own site. I had it replace the old forms. Just seems like I can't get to the configuration page like I need to to update the database for 9.2...
