Snapshot driver properties not saving

We have a user that is trying to use Snapshot with Laserfiche.  When she changes some of the driver properties for example (300 x 300 dpi) to (600 x 600 dpi) the changes do not stay for the next scan. She appears to have the right permissions. Please advise as to how we could resolve this.  Thanks in advance for your help.

Does setting Snapshot to be the default printer in Windows allow the printer settings to be saved?

Windows 7:

They will need to go to Devices and Printers.  Go to Laserfiche Snapshot Printing Preferences.  

The settings can be changed in that location.  If that does not work go to Printer Properties -> Advanced Tabs <Printing Defaults> and Change the settings there.

Is there a way to not have it as the default printer and have the settings stick?
