Backup Solution compatibility with Avante License under SQL Express

Hi,

 

If a customer has the following:

 

The backup solution adopted for a sql server is EMC networker server 8.1 and the agent is EMC Networker Module for Microsoft SQL Server.

 

Kindly confirm if Avante license (under SQL express) is compatible with the mentioned backup agent.

As Zachary mentioned, you need to focus on whether the backup solution is compatible with SQL Express. Most backup solutions do not support SQL Express because of it's lack of advanced features.

From what I can tell, it should be fine. Since EMC NetWorker doesn't interact with Laserfiche directly, it shouldn't care about which version is installed and licensed. We're pretty agnostic when it comes to database backup solutions.

 

Note that you'll still need to pay attention to compatibility between the version of SQL Express and ECM NetWorker and such.
