Question

Relicense a product with no LSAP

asked on July 20, 2014

I have a client that does not have a current LSAP.  They are looking to move their Laserfiche 8.3.x server to another server.  Will they be able to relicense their 8.3.x Laserfiche server on the new hardware?  Thank you for the help.

The only factor that LSAP plays into the actual activation process is determining which version can be activated. If your customer's LSAP is expired, you are still able to deactivate and re-activate the current version they are on.

However, if you need assistance from Laserfiche Support to perform the deactivation and re-activation, then LSAP will need to be renewed.

Alex,

Thank you for your reply.  We would not be changing the version of Laserfiche so that is good to know.

Hi Lance,

In short.....No. You need current LSAP in order to activate the license.

Thanks Alexander!

Didn't know that. Every time I have ever tried, I've never managed to re-activate an expired LSAP customer.
