Quick Fields: Generate Pages from PDF

asked on July 1, 2014

Generating pages from PDF increases the size quite a bit so one way I would get around this is to import monochrome pages.  Doing this significantly reduced the file size for me since all the documents were black & white.

My question refers to the generate pages using the LF Capture Engine in Quick Fields.  I noticed this generate pages does not have the option for monochrome.  I see an option to convert to black & white but this doesn't reduce the size like monochrome would.  Am I missing something or am I correct that Quick Fields does not generate pages in monochrome?

The options should be equivalent. Can you attach a sample PDF to this thread?

Thanks for the info.  You were correct that they were basically equivalent but the difference I noticed now is that if I generate pages to monochrome from client the dpi is 300 but in Quick Fields it is very low at 96 dpi.  I changed the LF Capture engine to use dpi of 300 but it still generates images at 96 dpi.  Any clue as to how to get the image to generate to 300?

There is an option for this in Universal Capture:

Quick Fields also gives you the option to use JPEG compression when generating images to help with size.
