Quick Fields: Generate pages dpi

asked on July 3, 2014 Show version history

When generating pages from a pdf in Quick Fields the dpi is come out as 96 dpi even when I set generate pages to use 300 dpi.  Any thoughts on why the dpi is not changing?  I've tried taking files that were 300 dpi in LF and exporting those files as pdf's then running those through QF and no matter what it's always 96 dpi.  If I use QF on a tiff file it maintains whatever dpi the file was in.

Edit:  I am running Quick Fields 8.3

Updating QF to 9.0 seemed to fix the problem.  PDFs are now generating pages to 300 dpi.

Hi Ramon,

Are the PDF's you are capturing colour PDF's? If so I can only imagine this is done on purpose by Laserfiche as a 300dpi generated colour page (TIFF) can be up to and sometimes exceeding 20MB per page!!

Try converting them to black and white and see if the behavior changes.

Hope this helps! laugh

I will try that.  I believe I have already ran it as black & white as well but the pdf itself is black & white.
