Question

Import Agent Permission Denied access error

asked on June 23, 2014

I Installed Import Agent 8.1.1.357 to work with Laserfiche Client 8.1.1.600 and am trying to test importing documents with Template information. When I run the test Profile in the Import Agent I get the following message in the Window's Event Viewer.

There was an error executing the profile SamsProfile. (There was an error logging into the repository. - Permission denied.)

The full message is attached along with a Kerberos error message I found at the same time I turned the Profile on.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Also, as an aside: I had a lot of trial and error to get the Indexing to work. Ultimately it was because of an extra space at the end of the several lines I copied from other examples on this site. An explanation of Laserfiche's use of "Whitespace" , both within the template fields and with the carriage return in the documentation would have been helpful.

Samuel,

Are you using Windows authentication or laserfiche account to log on to the repository in the profile? If you are using Windows authentication, then it uses the Import Agent server service account to log on to the repository, thus Import Agent server service should run as a domain account.

The Kerberos error indicates that there is network configuration issue. Are you able to log on to LF repository through windows authentication? You may check the DNS server or AD configuration.

Thanks for the quick response.

I found a simpler route by skipping Windows Authentication in the Profile and just using an already established User test account for accessing Laserfiche. Fixed it up nicely.

Thanks again!
