While you can put the Laserfiche Server and Web Access on the same machine for small installations, you will always benefit from better performance by separating the two. Installing on separate machines also provides ample room for growth without having to worry about purchasing new hardware. If the customer is still considering placing the two on the same machine, I would recommend using a test environment to see how the two configurations would impact performance, and whether or not this would be acceptable.
