runtime sdk installation requirement

 Hi, sorry if this is a dumb question but is there a requirement that a LF component ( ie) client/server must be installed on the machine where Runtime SDK (only) is  to be installed?

I am getting different answers from my colleagues. Of course when I install it on my machine that has lF server & client , no issue . Issue is that install runs ok ( no errors) however does not show in the Control Panel , nor dll in Windows Assembly.Thanks.

It should be possible to install the SDK Runtime on a machine that has no other Laserfiche products. It should install assemblies to the GAC and show up in the Add/Remove program list.

The SDK runtime installation is specifically intended to not require other Laserfiche components. If the installation is not working without Laserfiche components installer, or if it is running and not putting information in the Control Panel, you may need to contact Laserfiche Support and run a logged installation.
