Question

Workflow doens't require Full Named User

asked on April 11, 2014

My understanding is, Workflow doesn't require 'Full Named User' to run?

A user of type 'False' is fine to run a workflow.

Can someone from LF can confirm if above is right? And if their are any limitations in doing that?

Thanks

Workflow does not required any sort of user license for its operations. It only needs a Laserfiche account with appropriate rights to perform operations in Laserfiche, but no named user licenses need to be assigned to it.

Of course, if you are talking about a user manually initiating a workflow, they will still require a named user account to log in to a repository in the first place.
