In the Laserfiche Administration Console, disable the repository users or unset them as named users. Then in the License Manager Administration Console, decrease the number of repository named user licenses allocated to that specific Laserfiche Server. Now you can then add the associated windows accounts for those users as directory named users under the "Named Users and Devices" node in the License Manager Administration Console. Generate a new Laserfiche Server license file that will then be used to replace the old license. Restart the Laserfiche Server service after the license file has been replaced. Once that's done, you can go back into the Laserfiche Administration Console and add the Windows users under the "Windows Accounts" node.

Does Laserfiche have plans to make this process easier?  That is a ton of steps and doesn't take into account having to update the security model.  When you have a few hundred users (What Rio is designed for) it all can't be done at once because it takes hours.  Therefore, the process has to be repeated numerous times.

Hey Scott,

If you're talking about converting existing Laserfiche users to directory accounts, you can use the Account Conversion Utility
