Work Flow Connections Errors

asked on March 20, 2014

We have many Workflow errors in our Windows Event viewer. An entry is logged once every 2-5minutes. All of our workflows seem to be working fine. However, there maybe some underlying issues that we are not aware of.

All the errors make reference to the inability to connect to a server that once existed (Please see attachment).  It was a replacement server for our original server in which we renamed after a successful migration. Although there is no DNS entry for this "Old" server name, we noticed that server entry withing the properties of all of our workflows displays this "Old" no-existent server name (See attachment). Where is this entry coming from? Why are our workflows still working when it is trying to connect to a non-existent server?

It looks like your Workflow Designer is still trying to connect to the old server. You can change the connection by clicking on the server name in the bottom right corner of your Designer or from the Tools menu.

Hi,

We have checked all of our connections and it seems to be pointing to the right server. As you can see, the lower-right corner shows the correct server name (See attachment), and yet the workflow properties shows it is trying to connect to the old server name.
